New Future Lab is a workshop, network and innovation hub in one - an entrepreneurial ecosystem where everything is connected and mutually reinforcing. We bring together people, ideas and initiatives that build a future in which everyone can participate equally. We do this by designing, experimenting and undertaking - with and for communities, governments, education and businesses. Our projects focus on social themes such as community spirit, entrepreneurship, circular economy, digital inclusion and reciprocal participation.

What will you do?

The position of Social Innovator at New Future Lab is a varied position. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference from the content, but is also interested in moving from idea to market. We see you as a social pioneer who fuels innovation and comes up with innovative, inclusive and supported solutions together with stakeholders.

• You will develop new services, products and propositions that make a difference (70% of your time)
  
  • You translate signals from our team, community and network into products, services, programs or concepts
  • You research and experiment: from brainstorming to prototyping and testing
  • You will work closely with our entrepreneurial and creative team and involve partners, users and stakeholders as appropriate.
  • You research and validate business models and go-to-market strategies
    
    
• You will help build our network and be active in sales and business development
  (30% of your time)
  
  • You see opportunities and know how to turn them into concrete proposals or pitches
  • You think about our offer towards partners and clients
  • You will assist in writing bids or grant applications
  • You will actively contribute to our visibility and positioning in the field

What we are looking for

‍
】We are looking for someone with broad interests and experiences. Here's the basics:

• At least 3 years of experience in a role where you have actively worked on societal or social innovation
• You have proven experience in developing concepts, services or programs: from idea to test phase and realization
• You have knowledge of theory in the area of business models and propositions and the ability to use it in developing new initiatives
• You have demonstrable experience in building networks or involving different people in developing a solution
• You are independent and ownership comes naturally to you
• You can prioritize and work in a planned manner
• You feel at home in a flexible and entrepreneurial environment where not everything is fixed, and where you yourself actively contribute to direction and structure
• You read, write and speak the Dutch language at a minimum B2 level

In addition, we like it if you bring experiences in such areas as (optional):

• Developing and/or giving presentations, workshops or trainings
• Working in or with public organizations, such as governments or education
• Setting up your own idea, project or venture
• Experimenting with the power of AI, tech development or smart marketing

Additionally, if you like it, we think it would be cool if you would like to coach 1-3 entrepreneurs from our community in their personal and business growth.
