A successful collaboration
Entrepreneurship is a personal journey, but you don't have to face it alone. That's why our future-makers regularly share their entrepreneurial stories to inspire and share knowledge. After all, together you grow faster than alone. This time the story of the collaboration between Studio Haering and Do Tell Mom.

A few months ago, two young entrepreneurial collectives met in Kickstart Lab's textile loft: Studio Haering, consisting of Fleur, Joram and Mees, and Do Tell Mom, founded by Janne and Iza. Both companies combined their creative commitment to sustainability, which gave their collaboration a new impetus.
The collaboration between Studio Haering and Do Tell Mom shows how they reinforce each other: Studio Haering with upcycling abandoned festival tents into bags and Do Tell Mom with their tattoos and piercings on second-hand clothing, as a sustainable alternative to merchandise. Despite their different fields of expertise, they complement each other without getting in each other's way with sustainability as a common starting point. This shared passion has led to interesting collaborations.
Together with The Possibilities Clothing, they have developed a sustainable collection: colorful festival bags by Studio Haering with a unique Do Tell Mom design. The bags are for sale on The Possibilities Clothing's webshop.
In addition, they were present together at festivals such as Wilde Weide and Wildeburg. At these festivals, Studio Haering and Do Tell Mom sold exclusive merchandise, where Studio Haering's bags could be printed on the spot with the festivals' logo by Do Tell Mom! You could also choose to have your clothes printed with a design by Do Tell Mom.
Fleur explains that the collaboration is mainly about combining their strengths. "We spar creatively, come up with new ideas and expand each other's networks," she says. "Because our focus is different, we have a lot to offer each other," she says. Janne adds: "It's very nice that we don't see each other as competitors, but rather as partners who can achieve more together. It always remains cozy and inspiring."
Kickstart Lab certainly contributed to their success, but it was not the only connecting factor. The entrepreneurs already knew each other from previous joint projects and study backgrounds, but physically meeting in Kickstart Lab's textile loft gave their collaboration an extra push. "It gave us the opportunity to quickly connect and exchange ideas," Iza says. Joram also emphasizes the value of the shared space: "It motivates to work together when you sit next to each other and share the same passion."
Their advice for young entrepreneurs and creatives is simple but powerful: "Don't be afraid to make mistakes." It's incredibly fun to do and easier than it looks! Also have fun with it, do where your passion lies. "Fun = motivation," says Janne enthusiastically.
