Makers Boost Lab

July 10, 2025

On Sept. 8, New Future Lab will open a shared store in De Hoven: a mix of concept store, meeting place and workspace. Local makers and start-ups can sell their products or offer services there. Participation is free and you get help starting your business.

Makers Boost Lab

Are you a maker or budding entrepreneur from Delft-West?

Do you have something beautiful that you make - like jewelry, clothing, art or bags - and want to discover if you can make it your work? Then Makers Boost Lab is for you!

Sell your products in a store

In De Hoven shopping center, New Future Lab will open a special retail concept on Monday, September 8, between 4 and 6 pm. A mix of a concept store, meeting place and flex work space. Creative makers can get a shelf in the store and sell their stuff. There is also a practice space where budding entrepreneurs can receive clients. Think of (future) entrepreneurs active in beauty or health, coaching or doing something with (creative) workshops.

‍Yourproduct or service in the spotlight

Do you have a beautiful product you make - like clothing, jewelry, bags, art or something else? Or would you like to open a practice 1 day or part day a week, as a stepping stone to a place of your own? Then this place might be for you.

You can think of it as sharing the store with a larger group of entrepreneurs. This way, everyone does not have to rent a store separately and everyone can build your business step-by-step. This is the chance to try out whether your product or service really sells - right in the middle of a busy mall!

‍Freehelp with entrepreneurship

In addition to a place in the store, you can also participate in an entrepreneurial program. You will receive free help in starting up or professionalizing your business. This includes workshops on how to improve your product, how to find customers and how to set your price. You'll also have access to free desks and meeting space, and work on expanding your network.

What do you get?

  • A place in our concept store in shopping center De Hoven to sell your products.
  • Access to our community barn and workshop space for making, repairing or organizing small activities.
  • Participation in 3 practical sessions on finding customers, selling and pricing.
  • Help from experienced entrepreneurs and free workspaces.
  • Together we will close with a Makers Fair in December at the Station House!

Entrepreneur program dates

  • Sept. 17 (5:30-21:00 p.m.)
  • Oct. 15 (5:30-21:00 p.m.)
  • Nov. 12 (5:30-21:00 p.m.)
  •  End event: December (date to follow)

‍Who is it for?

We are looking for entrepreneurial people from Delft-West (Tanthof-West, Voorhof and Buitenhof). You don't have to be an entrepreneur now, but you can be. Maybe you are looking for work now, or maybe you want to build something next to your work or study. Participation is free of charge. Together we will examine whether it is a good match.

Participate?

‍Youdon't have to be an entrepreneur yet - being curious is enough. Sign up before Aug. 31 by emailing marit@newfuturelab.nl or fill out the application form!
