Vacancy: intern Facility and Operations Management

We strive for a diverse team because we realize how nice it is to have many perspectives on board. We invite you to respond.

Vacancy: intern Facility and Operations Management

What kind of organization are we?

New Future Lab is a workshop, network and innovation hub in one - an entrepreneurial ecosystem where everything is connected and mutually reinforcing. We bring together people, ideas and initiatives that build a future in which everyone can participate equally. We do this by designing, experimenting and undertaking - with and for communities, governments, education and businesses. Our projects focus on social themes such as community spirit, entrepreneurship, circular economy, digital inclusion and reciprocal participation.

We believe in the power of small initiatives, as well as systemic change. Every day we see how important it is to engage at multiple levels - from individual people and neighborhoods, to organizations, policy structures and broader systems. Only then can we build sustainable solutions that really work for everyone.

What will you do?

As a collaborative intern in Facilities and Operations Management at New Future Lab, you will play an important role behind the scenes: you will help our three different locations, internal processes and programs run smoothly, smartly and enjoyably. You will have the opportunity to improve processes and practices and contribute to optimizing our physical workplaces and facility support.

You will be involved in analyzing and improving internal processes around, for example, inventory management, process optimization and cleaning. Think about setting up smart work processes, improving the layout of our spaces or helping to make our location(s) more sustainable. And actively thinking about how we can make our working environment even more pleasant and efficient. The great thing about this internship is that you will have a lot of freedom to come up with your own ideas and actually realize improvements yourself. You will be part of our team and work together with our facility and event manager, program manager and community lead, among others. No day is the same, one day you will be busy with a practical check of the location, the next day you will be working on an improvement plan or running a pilot project.

What can we offer?

What can we throw into the fray to bring you in?

  • A cool collaborative internship for 32 to 40 hours per week
  • A cooperative internship of 6 months or less
  • Work on an organization with impact, where you have a lot of contact with customers and
  • community participants
  • Daily collaboration with a close-knit, ambitious and entrepreneurial team
  • Working in an environment with dozens of creative and entrepreneurial futurists
  • Becoming part of an active learning culture
  • Lots of freedom and room for your own initiative
  • Flame together: go with it
  • €300 internship allowance per month

Is this internship for you?

Do you see yourself doing an internship with us? Contact Emma at emma@newfuturelab.nl. Send Emma your resume (or anything else that shows what you have to offer) and a short motivation. This will give us a first impression of who you are.
